A Kaboom Clone is a Minecraft server running kaboomserver/server (commonly via kaboomserver/framework)-like software.
How to create one?
You can create a Kaboom clone in numerous different ways, however most of the methods all boil down to (around) the same steps:
- Get a server, this can be an old computer, your own, or a VPS, running the Linux OS.
- Create a user called
server. (ensure a home directory is being created and is the default one) - Install git.
- Log in as
server, you can do this by runningsu - server. Enter the home directory by runningcd ~/. - Download kaboomserver/framework, you can do this by running
git clone https://github.com/kaboomserver/framework. - Clone the server repository using
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/kaboomserver/server.git server-default, and runcp -r server-default/ server/to initiate the server directory. - Run
~/framework/script/init.shto start the server, if desired. - Log out of
server, you can do this by runningexit. - Add kaboomserver/framework/config/crontab to
/etc/crontab.
How to make my clone public?
- Forward 25565/TCP and 19132/UDP.
- If you're using iptables, run these commands as root.
